Hash 1001

On October 5, Sticky, Whirlwind Warrior, Cuddly Koala and the Stuart-Smith Family took almost 70 Horrors on a classic jungle Hash. In the centre of Singapore they found terrain that transported all of us back in time to a less developed island. There were loads of scrapped knees, muddy bottoms and EVERYONE got their feet wet! Thank you for challenging our community!

We continue to celebrate Horrors with 2 receiving their 10th medals and 2 receiving their 25th medals. We love seeing Horrors so dedicated to the hash and enjoying this community every two weeks.

We will be doing another T-shirt order which you can find here. Orders close on October 10 so get yours in now.

We are also looking for Hares on:

October 19

November 16

December 14

Please reach out if you are up for an adventure! We have routes and experts who can help!

See you somewhere on the island in two weeks!

1000th Hash

On Sunday September 21 2025 the Hash House Horrors celebrated the 1000th time we came together as a community in order to explore some of Singapore’s less known parts. Over 160 Horrors rallied at Tanglin Trust School and embarked on a short and long Hash! We celebrated many 10th medals, a 25th medal and Eva “Wild Glider” Notfors 50th trophy!

Getting to 1000 Hashes is an amazing accomplishment and the list of people to thank is long.

Thank you to:

  • The Tanglin Trust School for letting us use such a fantastic space
  • All the volunteers who helped on the day
  • Mr. Hoe and Mr. Lim for feeding and hydrating us
  • The present and old Hash Committee members who carried the torch over the year.s This includes but is not limited to: Jen Cleland Ray Dural, Georgina Jonas, Roel Meulendijks, Karien Van Ditzhuijzen, Jan and James Moseley, Nick Jacobs, Kellie and Neil Steffensen, Kaz Suzuki, Chris Hoff and so, so many other who have dedicated their time, energy and love
  • The Hares: This includes the Jacobs, Saunders, Campbell, Williams and Stuart-Smith families
  • All the families that take their time every 2 weeks to join us in these adventures

The Hash gets us all outside in the sun, rain mud and muck. It builds memories for the Horrors and reminds the parents of their youth. Thank you all for everything you do.

We are also in need of Hares very soon, so if you love the Hash, please consider setting one for the community.

We need Hares on:

October 19

November 2

November 16

November 30

December 14

We have routes and experts to help you so please reach out if you are ready for an adventure!

See you somewhere on the island on October 5

Hash 999

Hash 999 was a fantastic mix of muddy jungles and classic Singapore black and whites. Thank you so much to the Wade family for their effort, 91 Horrors enjoyed the trail!

We also celebrated one Horror’s tenth hash and Caspar “Sticky” Stuart-Smith was honoured with his 50th Hash Mug and earned a place on our “Walk of Fame“.

On September 21, we are celebrating our 1000th Hash! We have a team of Hares setting two runs, one OVER 5 kms and one UNDER 5 kms. You can RSVP here.

There are some important differences about the 1000th Hash:

  1. We are rallying at 15:30 so the long route can start at 16:00 and the short run at 16:30
  2. We are catering for everyone so parents will pay too
  3. The starting location is the Tanglin Trust School Sports Field entering through Gate C via Portsdown Road
  4. It will be VERY busy so please be patient and reach out if you are willing to support

We are really looking forward to this special event! See you then!

Hash 994

A return to Dempsey meant a HUGE hash and fun had by more than 70 Horrors! Thank you to the Anderson and Childs families for setting the Hash. The Anderson Horrors earned their Hash names and will know be known as Louis “Crafty Panda”, Stella “Doggy Danger” and Jimmy “Ramble Royal” Anderson.

As our community grows and our Horrors run more Hashes, we continue to celebrate them. On May 4 two Horrors received their 25th Hash medals and congratulations to them!

A big thank you to the Jones family who stepped forward to set Hash 997 on June 15.

A reminder that the RSVP is to give us an idea about how much food to order. All Horrors are always welcome and anyone can show up on Hash day but by letting us know you are planning on coming, we can prevent running out of food or ice-cream and having angry little Horrors (we did run out of food this week for the first time in a LONG time).

We are taking orders for 1000th Hash T-shirts and the order form is here. We will also have samples sizes at the upcoming Hashes for you to try on.

Remember, if you are looking for more adult Hashing, you can join our Strava group here.

Thank you as always and we look forward to seeing you somewhere on the island on May 18!

Dear Hashers and Horrors,

What an adventure! On April 20 Heather “Fearless Fawn” Leo, Eva “Wild Glider” Notfors, Soma “Wallet Space” and Shiori “Gyah! Lion” Suzuki set our first MRT Hash! Once the Hash alighted at Haw Par Villa the heavens opened up and soaked every Horror to the bone! Rainy hashes are the best hashes and build lasting memories for everyone!

We had 67 Horrors brave the weather with 2 Horrors receiving their 10th hash medal and 1 receiving their “hash name”. We love watching this community grow and honouring Horrors for reaching milestones!

April 20 – The Easter hash

  • Choosing the route
  • Choosing the food
  • A great family adventure
  • Hares don’t pay for hashes they set
  • The warm fuzzy feeling you get when you do something for a community
