Hash 991

A huge thank you to the Campbell and Williams families for Hash 991 on March 23. They took 65 Horrors on a hilly, muddy adventure through Butik Batok Nature Park. It was their Horrors second time being Hares and they earned their Hash names: “Tree Leaper”, “Cobweb Queen” and “Jungle Vine Queen”!

Hash 988 A Messy Muddy Memory-Making Adventure

WOW! Hash 988 was one for the books! With 100 Horrors tramping though streams, mud, jungles and fields, “Sticky”, “Whirlwind Warrior” and “Cuddly Koala” Stuart-Smith brought us something to remember! The Hash Committee wants to offer our appreciation for ALL the Hares who have been working so hard to bring this community a wide range of outstanding adventures.

A special THANK YOU to all the leaders up and down the hash line who helped out on Sunday. When a community faces challenges we need leaders to step up in a wide range of roles and that is what happened on Sunday.

Sunday also saw 4 Horrors receive their 10th Hash medals and over 50 shirts get ordered! We will keep you posted on when those come.

A few notes to remember:

  • make sure you check in with us at the start so we can record your Horrors hash
  • please RSVP is you know you are coming so we can make sure there is enough food and drink
  • please make sure kids have eaten first and that parents pay $7 for food

We do need Hares for: April 6, May 4 and May 18 so reach out if you are willing to take your turn!

Thank you all for everything you do and we will see you somewhere on the island on February 23!

Hash 987

We want to wish a happy Lunar New Year and year of the snake to all the Horrors and parents out there! On January 26 the hash returned to Changi after being away for years! First time hares Hesselman family took us on a wonderful tour including boardwalks and islands! Thank you so much for the effort you put into the hash and inspiring other families to set hashes!

We had 52 Horrors on Sunday with 6 newbies and 3 Horrors receiving their 10th hash medals. It feels like every hash we have Horrors achieving milestones and we LOVE celebrating them!

Please remember that we are doing another T-shirt order. We encourage parents and Horrors to wear hash T-shirts. Hash t-shirt help us feel more like a community and also lets us (and the kids) know who is part of the hash. The link to order T-shirts is here and we will have sample sizes at the next hash.

Finally, any parents who are on Strava are invited to join our group here. The group has members from many of Singapore’s hash groups and is a great way to motivate yourself and maybe find like minded hashers!

Thank you all for making this such an amazing community and we will see you somewhere on the island on February 9.

What a way to start 2025! Thank you to the Graham and Wyld families for taking us on a muddy adventure through Bukit Brown Cemetery. We loved how you put a new twist on a classic hashing area, thank you for your effort and creativity!

Rainy hash days always create lasting memories and this did not disappoint. We had many new Horrors join us and one Horror receive her 10th Hash medal.

We are still looking for Hares for January 26. If you are interested, please reach out to us. We have routes you can follow and experts who can support. Teaming up with another family is always a good idea!

Finally for parents, if you love hashing check out some of the other Hashes in Singapore. They are listed on our website and you can also link up with more people in the community through our Strava group.

Thank you all for making this such a vibrant community and we look forward to seeing you somewhere on the island on January 26!

Hash 985

Thank you to the Poyner family for setting our annual Christmas Hash in the Gillman Barracks! We had festive clothes, holiday cheer and loads of Christmas food!

At the end of the hash we celebrated 5 Horrors earning their 10th Hash medals. We also brought back executions as some Horrors were taking short cuts! Remember, the trail is set with care, short cuts are a big “no no”.

Thank you to all the parents who paid for parent food, we really appreciate it! We also want to remind parents that the decreasing pay scale is designed for families. If you bring a Horror from another family, you should pay $20 for them.

We are still looking for hare on: January 26, March 9, March 23 and April 6. If you are ready to take your turn, please let us know!

We hope you enjoy your break and look forward to seeing you somewhere on the island on January 12 for Hash 986.

A huge thank you to the Stuart-Smith family and newly named Horrors Sticky, Whirlwind Warrior and Cute Koala for a great Hash 984. They took us through jungles, sewers, parkland, a candy check while getting almost everyones feet wet!

We celebrated 6 Horrors receiving their 10th medals! Congratulations on the achievement, the next step is setting two hashes and you earn your Hash Name!

The Hash is back on December 15 for our annual Christmas Hash. We know many families will already be travelling but we hope you will be able to join us for a special meal and festivities!

Hash 982

What a HASH! We have amazing Hares in our community but none take us on subterranean adventures like Fearless Fawn and the Leo family. I think I speak for the whole Hash when I say THANK YOU!!!!

We had 80 Horrors join us on Sunday and two received their 10th Hash medal (there was a third Horror who should have received their medal but there was a small clerical error. Apologies were made).

The Hareline (the list of people who will set Hashes) has been healthy but we do need people to step forward in early 2025. Most importantly, we need Hares on January 12, January 26 and February 9. We have resources to help you so please reach out to us if you are interested.

Thank you all for everything you do and we look forward to seeing you somewhere on the island on November 17!

Hash 981

Thank you to the Anderson and Forrest families who teamed up to take us on a romping adventure in Clementi Forest. It was a great mix of running, climbing scrambling and good old jungle mud! The Horrors loved the return of the always motivating “candy check”! Circle time was also a special on for the Anderson family with 2 of their Horrors receiving their 10th medal and on being honoured with her “Hash Name”!

Remember, to earn a “Hash Name” a Horrors needs to run 10 Hashes and set 2. If you and your family are interested in setting a Hash we need Hares on: Jan 12, Jan 26, Feb 9, Feb 23 and March 9. Hares also get to set and choose the route (we can help), choose the food and the Horrors Hash for free. Please email hhhorrors@gmail.com to let us know when you want to take your turn.

Thanks again to everyone and see you on November 3!
